Atmata means ‘essence from nature’ and that is certainly reflected here in the purity of fruit. It’s a more restrained example of sauvignon blanc than it’s Kiwi cousins, showing crunchy green apples, lemon and lime wedges and just-ripe passionfruit. A subtle herbaceous character hints at lemongrass, and mint. Ultra refreshing, light-bodied and zesty; the kind of wine you want to sip on a summer afternoon by itself. Or pair it with pan-fried salt and pepper squid as you watch the sunset.
