Layers of complexity give each sip of The Botanist Islay gin a different impression. 22 different botanicals from the traditional orris root, cassia bark, and coriander seed, along with locally sourced herbs from the peat bogs and hills of the Island of Islay, are present in this gin. This gives The Botanist gin a uniquely local aroma and captures the scents of warm summer nights on the Atlantic shores. A slow, 17-hour distillation process extracts the flavours from the different botanicals and allows them to seamlessly blend. This artisanal, small-batch gin is handcrafted in a Lomond pot still. Enjoy over ice with a splash of mineral water and squeeze of lemon.
