Canadian Club whisky distillery was originally launched in Detroit by Hiram Walker in 1858. Hiram started his journey by learning the cider vinegar distillation process, then transitioned to whisky and creating his first batch in 1854. As prohibition took hold in the USA, Walker moved his operations across the border to Windsor, Ontario. Canadian Club 1858 Whisky is a 37% ABV Canadian whisky that’s pre-blended and matured an additional 3 years than is required by Canadian law to drive a deeper flavour profile that’s rich with white-oak American bourbon barrel characteristics and a smooth, lingering finish.
