Agneya, derived from the Sanskrit word meaning “belonging to fire”, is a lightly peated single malt whisky matured in Sherry and Bourbon casks, where depth and complexity unfold to embody the very essence of fire and wood.

It is one of India’s most refined and elegant whiskies, balancing its complexity with notes of nuttiness and ripe fruit, followed by a gentle smokiness on the palate. Situated in the catchment area of the river Yamuna, Indri is not just the name of a quaint village, nestled amidst the Himalayan foothills but also the home of our distillery.

This lush green landscape forms an integral part of India’s agricultural heartland. Our fields and the warehouse where our malt matures embrace the majestic Indian peacock as it wanders freely, a symbol of nature’s unfettered grace.
